Competitive Analysis Report
The GLS Competitive Report is a quick snapshot that demonstrates
how the GLS ranks against other Learning Management Systems. One
GLS competitive advantage is the pricing model which gives allowances
for unlimited learners and unlimited courses. The majority of
E-Learning Systems charge a per learner fee and per course fee
restricting the scalabilty of the system.
Note: The GLS is not SCORM
compliant. SCORM- Shareable Content Object Reference Model is
a set of interrelated technical specifications built upon the
work of the AICC, IMS and IEEE to create one unified 'content
model'. These specifications enable the reuse of Web-based learning
content across multiple environments and products.
Commentary: In truth the majority of owners of Learning Management
Systems do not use the SCORM feature to update their content.
Usually owners create their content themselves. At the present
time most Learning Management Systems that have the 'SCORM Compliant'
designation still encounter issues importing content.

Translation Table
In order to offer the Global Learning System interface in another
language the Internet Consultant or the client would have to translate
the text in the translation table and provide it to the Production
Center. The Production Center would charge approximately 10 hours
customization fees to develop a front end and administration interface
in your chosen language. The customization fee would be far less
to just have the front end/learner interface translated. Once
the translation has been completed once you may reuse the code
for future clients with no additional customization charges from
that Production Center.
